The self induced eating disorder characterized by the constant loss of appetite is called the anorexia. The excessive conscience towards the loss of weight, calorie count and the excessive exercises leads to an emotive eating disorder called the anorexia. Some signs and symptoms of diagnosis of anorexia are excessive consideration of becoming thinner, False Perception of body shape and weight etc.
The principal problem of the anorexics is that they will never get satisfied with their efforts despite how much weight they can lose, they continue to limit their food. In much of the cases, the people affected by anorexia develop a changed perception their bodies. They always complain about their physical appearance, being referred as fat. People who suffer from the anorexia often try to remove their hunger by taking diet pills or they even try to replace food with energy drink. Because of their poor diet and limited intake of food, there is possibility to develop anorexics. People with anorexia also have the possibility to develop anemia, osteoporosis, or the gastro-intestinal disorders.
The people suffering from anorexia do not understood the danger of denying food. The calories, the weight, food, and the management of weight are the most important factors of the life of a person with the anorexia. People who have anorexia like to lead a secret life so that nobody can know their state. In this situation, it is very difficult for the doctors to analyze and treat correctly.
Some of the common symptoms of the anorexia are the sudden loss of weight, eating selective foods, the excessive conscience about the structure and shape of the body, to skip the meals regularly, eating the foods having low in fat and calories, usually wearing loose clothes to hide the thinness, following strong diet and vigorous exercise, avoiding to take part in social gatherings etc. Some of the physical effects of the anorexia are decreased immunity, insomnia, less resistance for heat, chronic dehydration, and loss of hair and even causes the failure of kidney. The anorexia nervosa is a disease which one must take very seriously. Often the symptoms are diagnosed very late. This makes the treatment harder and in such cases, the treatment will not function.
Of behavioral prospect, the signs of the anorexia are to follow a strict diet, refusal of eating with others such as friends, relatives etc, vigorous exercise, and refusal of the social interactions and consuming diet pills to regulate hunger. The emotive aspect of the anorexia can imply depression, low self-esteem, the vague perception of the image of body and the sudden changes of mood.
Although the anorexia can occur to both the sexes, the disorder is very common in females. The researches indicate that more than 90 percent of people who are diagnosed with the anorexia are women. The anorexia is common among teenagers and the young adults.
The real causes of the anorexia were not still clarified. The disorder seems to occur due to inherited genetic anomalies, and principal releases for the anorexia are suspected to be various environmental factors. Anorexia is more widespread in the well developed countries. However, this type of eating disorder was identified practically in any ethnic group and culture. The anorexia assigns to the people of multiple levels.
The people affected by anorexia become the victims of their own actions. It is very important to pay the attention to all the signs which can suggest the presence of the anorexia. The anorexia can be treated and people can recover from this disorder completely.
